PCN Catheter Set
The ASTER PCN Catheter Set is used for the percutaneous placement of a pigtail catheter in the renal pelvis for nephrostomy drainage. Each set contains an initial puncture needle (stainless steel), a PTFE-coated guidewire, fascial dilators (PeBax®), a pigtail catheter (blue polyurethane), and a urine bag connector. Catheter length is 30 cm standard; all sizes available on request.
The set is supplied sterile in a peel-open package and is intended for single use only. Select the variant below based on the preferred catheter retention mechanism:
Suture Lock
Pigtail catheter retained by an internal locking suture that prevents accidental dislodgement during prolonged nephrostomy drainage.
